Bio: My name is Dino Turull. I was born in West Palm Beach, Florida. I have been creating art since I was a kid. When I was growing up I developed a wild and creative imagination. I unconsciously draw without thinking or planning. I use a feeling or a mood that could spark from a fantastic scene, song or a mere gesture from a stranger. I love being challenged to create never before seen concepts. After high school, I left Florida to attend the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California. There, I honed my skills to enhance my style to create imaginative works. My goal is to use my style to inspire other artists and people alike to push innovation and keep their minds open to what is different.
Artist Statement: My work consists of vibrant colors, illustrious backgrounds and fantastic characters. In each piece of artwork I create a story with no certain end. Occasionally, I will treat the viewer with a comedic touch. The figures and oddities create an otherworldly atmosphere suitable to there own needs. With each piece emotionally driven, I take the moods of the work and twist them around. I play with composition and usually like to include 1-3 focal points depending on the story of the piece. Overall, my goal for my work is to inspire people and make them think. To have them wonder and question what they are seeing.
